Lonely Numbers: EuroMillions Edition
Lonely numbers win bigger, shared numbers share winnings.
You cannot predict lottery draws.
Anyone claiming to do so is not telling you the truth. Any strategy claiming to predict future draws is probably a scam.
But you can discover what numbers other players prefer.
I'm not selling predictions, I'm selling an analysis of past choices made by other players.
For some lotteries (e.g. EuroMillions), the fewer winners there are at any prize level, the more each winner gets - this is true across all levels from the jackpot prizes down to one or two matching numbers.
You cannot control when any of your picks will match any draw numbers, but if and when they do match, you can significantly improve the value of your winnings over time by reducing the probability of your winnings being shared with many other players.
You can pick better numbers that are less popular with other players. The difference is significant.
I'm selling a set of these least popular Lonley Number combinations (both main and star numbers) determined statistically from years of draw data.
What you get:
- A list of 4000 Lonley Number combinations (5x main numbers, 2x stars)
e.g.
Main | Star
01, 02, 03, 04, 05 | 11, 12
16, 17, 18, 19, 20 | 01, 02
...
FAQ:
If you are selling the least popular number combinations, won't that make them popular, and therefore useless?
- Yes. But it will take a lot of sales here to make any impact on the overall popularity of numbers for millions of players. That is very unlikely, and if it ever did happen, it would probably take a long time.
- I'll be regularly tweaking my analysis, and running against newer draws, so if the popularity of players' numbers is changing (with or without this product), I'll eventually pick up those changes as soon as my statistical analysis is able to.
Can I use the number combinations more than once?
- Yes. Use them repeatedly, for as long as you like, as an individual, or as part of a lottery syndicate. The more you use them, the more likely you are to see the benefit of them compared to numbers chosen in other ways.
What about my lucky numbers?
- I am not selling luck. I wish I could. I have no control over how lucky you or your numbers are.
- A lottery should be played for fun, and I hope that winning more will help you enjoy it more, but luck still plays a huge of every lottery. There's nothing I can do about that.
- A lottery is not an investment. The odds will always be stacked against you (though I am trying to help a bit). If you are not playing for fun, there are probably better ways you could spend your money.
What about others claiming to have a system to predict future draws?
- They are lying to you, or are deeply misinformed about how randomness works.
What about that new AI system that claims to predict draw numbers?
- No AI system, no matter how powerfull is able to predict the sort of true randomness found in lotteries. See above.
What about this number coming up more often than all the others, why not pick that?
- That happens. It is the nature of randomness. It still has exactly the same chance as any other number of being drawn again in the future.
- Past numbers do not in any way influence what numbers future draws will include.
What about that mathametician that won loads of jackpots?
- There have been various opportunities in the past for players to identify and profit from shortcomings in various lotteries.
- Generally, such shortcomings did not rely on predicting specific draw numbers.
- One example instead identified the potential for a jackpot win being worth more than the cost of buying up enough ticket combinations to guarantee that win, therefore profit was guaranteed.
- This system no longer works since jackpot wins are typically not large enough anymore to pay for all the necessary ticket combinations.
What about Powerball? (or other lotteries)
- Individual Powerball prizes are fixed (unlike with EuroMillions). With Powerball, the number of players sharing prizes does not impact how much those players win individually. Unfortunately, I cannot currently provide any benefit to Powerball players.
- I'll consider offering products for other lotteries, if I can provide anything useful.
So how much better are these lonely numbers?
- Running many simulations repeatedly shows that my Lonely Number combinations sold here, when used together, can win x2 or more money in the EuroMillions lottery compared to randomly chosen numbers, over time.
- And my Lonely Number combinations sold here tend to win even more compared to the non-random combinations that people choose for themselves. Winnings from those combinations tend to be shared even more than randomly chosen combinations.
- Chance and randomness still play a huge part, and my numbers are no different, I cannot promise you will be profitable, or win any prize.
Why have I never heard of this before?
- It isnt a new idea. There have been various similar approaches and commentary over the years about it.
- One reference to similar results for a different lottery: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/240734.stm
Can I just share my numbers directly with others?
- Why not share a link to this product instead? They'll get the most recent data available.
- Consider that you might be undermining your own winnings as others may then have exactly the same numbers combinations as you are using.
What you do not get:
- Guarantees: all lottery draws are equally likely. I cannot guarantee you will win anything or ever be profitable. I am not promising a jackpot or any other win. Anyone making promises like this is probably lying.
- Certainty: I have no access to the actual private numbers picked by millions of players. All I do have is access to is public data on past draws, including the numbers that were drawn, how many players won each prize, and how much they won. I have done a statistical analysis of this publicly available data, including running millions of simulations, to produce estimates on the relative popularity of each number amongst all players. I am confident in my results, but they will never be perfect, I can only ever give you my best statistical estimates.
